\nSALARY : Remuneration package for Quantity Surveyor: Grade A: R 444 921 per annum,
\nGrade B: R 508 716 per annum, Grade C: R 579 036 per annum, (A portion of the
\npackage can be structured according to the Individual\u2019s personal need.
\nRemuneration for Candidate Quantity Surveyor: R 385 116 per annum.

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Degree in Quantity Survey or relevant
\nqualification. Registration with a professional council: Registration as
\nProfessional Quantity Surveyor or Candidate Quantity Surveyor with the South
\nAfrican Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP). Experience:
\nCandidate Quantity Surveyor: no experience. Quantity Surveyor: three years post
\nqualification Quantity Survey experience. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid
\n(Code B\/EB) driver\u2019s licence. Willingness to travel within the Western Cape, and
\noccasionally nationally. Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Knowledge of
\nInfrastructure delivery planning documents and strategic planning and policies
\nincluding risk analysis and risk mitigation strategies. Understand how to prepare
\nbudgets, extract and interpret information from the Basic Accounting System
\n(BAS) and related information systems. Sound interpersonal and good verbal and
\nwritten communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the
\nWestern Cape. Computer literacy (MS Office). Note: No payment of any kind is
\nrequired when applying for this post.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Key result areas\/outputs: Develop, interprete and customise cost, functional and
\ntechnical norms and standards. Develop templates and assist in the drafting of
\nstandard tender and contract documentation. Investigate proposals for innovative
\nservice delivery mechanisms and undertake feasibility studies. Prepare schedules
\nfor Capital and maintenance projects for U-amp and budget statements. Schedule
\nprojects and provision of Cost Plans, interpretation and analysis of cash flows.
\nContribute towards the compilation of briefing documentation and specifications.
\nMonitoring the implementation of Programs and projects of the implementing
\nagent and the adherence to the Service level agreement including commissioning
\nof buildings. Research\/literature studies to keep up with new technologies and
\nprocedures including interaction with professional Councils\/Boards.<\/p>\n
