REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate recognized three (3) year National Diploma (NQF6)\/Degree in
\nMarketing\/Public Relation\/Communication or grade 12 with three (3) years\u2019
\nexperience as a communication officer. Good understanding and knowledge of
\ncommunication, sound interpersonal relations, project planning skills, ability to
\nprepare reports. Be computer literate. A valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Formulation and implementation of information and communication strategies in
\norder to promote mutual understanding between the Hospital and the community.
\nPlanning and understanding internal liaison activities to keep staff informed of
\ndevelopments in the institution. Preparation and distribution of press statements
\nand news worthy items in the media. Maintaining ongoing contact with the media.
\nRemain informed of developments and changes in the hospital. Reply to refer and
\nenquire on specific function held in the relevant departments. Prepare files for\u00a0statistics records every month. Collect statistics from source points for
\ncompilation. Ensure that all dates for in and out patient statistics are submitted to
\nCentral Office. Submission of quarterly and yearly review information to Central
\nOffice.
