SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

\nSALARY : R 227 802 per annum
\nCENTRE : West Coast District Office, Malmesbury<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent). Experience:
\nExtensive PERSAL knowledge and experience. Extensive experience in all
\naspects of Human Resource Management with the emphasis on all aspects of
\npersonnel administration. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B\/EB)
\ndriver\u2019s licence. Willingness to work away from home on a continuous basis.
\nCompetencies (knowledge\/skills): Sound knowledge of HRM Policies and
\nPractices, the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Collective
\nAgreements regarding the above mentioned. Good verbal as well as written
\ncommunication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western
\nCape to ensure effective report writing. Ability to interpret policies\/procedural
\nmanuals and practical computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Persal.
\nAbility to identify irregularities in the application of human resource policies and
\npractices by means of analytical and innovative thinking. Note: No payment of
\nany kind is required when applying for this post. Short-listed candidates may be
\nsubjected to a practical test.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Key result areas\/outputs: Perform relief functions at HR Offices within the West
\nCoast in the absence of HR Staff. Assist HR Offices with identified HR functions:
\nHR work, back logs, grade progression, service terminations and informal training
\nof new appointments. Ensure rectification of Auditor-General reports, Internal
\nAuditors reports as well as HRM Advisory Services compliance reports. Perform
\npersonnel investigations at health facilities in the West Coast District in terms of
\nthe correct application of Human Resource legislation, policies, practices and
\nconditions of service as well as collective agreements. Sample testing of HR
\nAudit Action Plan and CMI and perform ad hoc investigations, e.g. administration
\nand irregularities. Interpret administrative directives and policies pertaining to
\nHuman Resource Management.
