REQUIREMENTS : University degree in Engineering and\/or equivalent qualification. Registration with
\nECSA as a Professional Engineer: Civil\/structural engineer or Electrical or
\nMechanical Engineer. Three Years\u2019 experience post qualification. Computer
\nliteracy. Knowledge of Construction Industry Development Board Act of 2000 and
\nRegulations, PFMA\/Division of Revenue Act\/Treasury Regulations\/Practice
\nNotes\/Instructions\/Circulars\/Construction Procurement System,
\nProvincial\/Departmental Supply Chain Management Policies, Promotion of
\nAccess to Information Act of 2000, Promotion of Administrative Justice Act of
\n2000. Expanded Public Works Programme, Broad Based Black Empowerment
\nAct of 2003, Preferential Procurement Act of 2000 and Regulations. Architectural
\nProfession Act of 2000. Engineering Profession Act of 2000. Quantity Surveying
\nProfession Act of 2000. National Building Standards Act of 1977 and
\nRegulations. Government Immovable Asset Management Act of 2007.
\nOccupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations of 1993. Project and
\nConstruction Management Professions Act of 2000. South African Schools Act of
\n1996, Regulations and Guidelines. National Environmental Management Act of
\n1998. Relevant Provincial Land Administration Legislation. ISO standards. All
\ndifferent types and forms of construction contracts.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Infrastructure Programme and Project Planning in line with IDMS. Infrastructure
\nProgramme and Project Implementation and Monitoring Maintenance Projects.
\nInfrastructure Project Commissioning. Infrastructure Programme and Project
\nEvaluation. Research\/literature studies to keep up with new technologies, viability
\nand feasibility of the geographical information management options for the
\nDepartment including interaction with relevant professional development
\nboards\/councils.<\/p>\n
