\nSALARY : All inclusive Remuneration Package of R549 390-R591 849 per annum.
\nCENTRE : Head Office, Pietermaritzburg<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : A university degree in Engineering and\/or equivalent qualification. Registration
\nwith ECSA as a Professional Engineer: Electrical Engineer. Minimum of Three
\nYears\u2019 experience post qualification. Valid drivers licence. Computer literacy.
\nKnowledge of PFMA\/ Treasury Regulations\/Practice Notes\/Instructions\/ Circulars.
\nPromotion of Access to Information Act of 2000. Provincial\/ Departmental Supply
\nChain Management Policies. Promotion of Administrative Justice Act of 2000.
\nNational Building Standards Act of 1977 and Regulations. Occupational Health
\nand Safety Act of 1993 and Regulations. Government Immovable Asset
\nManagement Act of 2007. South African Schools Act of 1996, Regulations and
\nGuidelines.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Development, interpretation and customization of functional and technical norms
\nand standards from an engineering perspective. Investigate proposals for
\ninnovative service delivery mechanisms and undertake feasibility studies.
\nCompile briefing documentation and specifications from an engineering
\nperspective. Investigate electrical engineering installations and equipment,
\nundertake design work and implement corrective measures where necessary.
\nOversee implementation (construction) and commissioning of electrical
\nengineering installations and maintenance. Research\/literature studies to keep up
\nwith new technologies, viability and feasibility of the geographical information
\nmanagement options for the Department including interaction with relevant
\nprofessional development boards\/councils.<\/p>\n
