The Bureau for Economic Research (BER) at Stellenbosch University and the South African Reserve Bank wish to announce the commencement of recruitment for the 201 6 economist internship programme at the BER.<\/p>\n
The primary objective of the internship programme is to provide practical training t o an appropriately qualified previously disadvantaged individual so that h e\/she is able to function as an economist in the private and\/ or public sector. The successful candidate will work alongside BER economists for one year to gain experience in all the aspects of business orientated macro \u2013 economic analysis.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be employed by the South African Reserve Bank , but will spend the first year of employment in training at the BER. The recruit will receive a competitive salary , even during the internship year at the BER. Relevant dates:<\/p>\n
Recruitment will take place during July and August 2015 and interviews will be held during August and September . The internship will start in January 2016 and end in December 2016.<\/p>\n
