REQUIRMENTS : An appropriate degree or diploma. With 3 years experience in Library and
\nInformation Services field. Practical experience in working with a library system.
\nPractical experience in managing a small resource centre. A library and
\ninformation services qualification will be an added advantage. Knowledge of
\noperation of public libraries. Knowledge or experience in cataloguing and
\nclassification of library material. Good interpersonal skills and networking skills
\nand ability to interact with people at various levels. Report writing. Planning and
\ndecision making. Financial and budgeting skills. A valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Answer information queries. Develop and maintain the Resource Centre
\nCollection. Present formal orientation in the use of the library to users.
\nCataloguing and Classification of Library materials. Determine user needs.
\nMarket the library.<\/p>\n
