REQUIREMENTS : Four years Nursing Degree \/ Three years Diploma. Post basic Diploma in
\nOccupational Health \/ Theatre Technique \/ Critical Care will be an advantage.
\nFour to five years appropriate experience gained after registration.
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council. Knowledge: DoL and
\nCompensation Fund objectives and business functions, Compensation Fund
\nValue Chain and business processes, Stakeholders and customers,
\nCustomer Service (Batho Pele principles) , Required IT knowledge, Risk
\nAwareness, COIDA tariffs, Technical Knowledge. Skills: Required Technical
\nProficiency, Business Writing, Required IT, Data Capturing, Data and records
\nmanagement, Telephone etiquette.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Provide advice and recommendation in the acceptance of liability.
\nRecommend the approval of medical accounts. Provide medical advice on
\nthe processing of occupational injury claims. Determine PD (Permanent
\nDisability) and TTD (Total Temporary Disability). Assess medical accounts on
\noccupational injury claims and OD medical accounts.<\/p>\n
