\nSALARY : R226 560 \u2013 R259 053 per annum (plus benefits)
\nCENTRE Communication Centre Midrand<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification, AEA\/ECT\/CCA\/NDIP with 3 year
\nexperience after registration with the HPCSA in the applicable category according
\nto OSD appointment requirements, two years actual experience in control room or
\ncommunication centre, Code 10 driver\u2019s license, Registration certificate and
\ncurrent registration with HPCSA. Supervisory experience is compulsory.
\nUnderstanding of EMS and its line of business. Computer skills, knowledge of
\nrules and regulations of communication centre. Ability to work under pressure and
\nmeet deadlines.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Be responsible of all EMS activities in the communication center .Provide advice
\non procedure and policy matters to staff and ensure compliance with all policies
\noperating in the service. Ensure effective communication system as well as be
\naccountable for call taking and dispatching of all incidents in the communication
\ncenter. Ensure the control and inventory of all resources in the communication
\nCentre. To assist the Communication Manager in the control and the
\nimplementation of the EMS policies. Maintain, monitor and review continuous
\nquality improvement for the region in accordance with the policy on quality\u00a0improvement of EMS. Ensure that effective strategies are implemented for
\nmeeting the needs of the community. Entrench a healthy and safe environment
\nand follow up continuously. Be responsible for EMS occupational health and
\nsafety at the communication center. Co-ordinate or oversee all major incidents to
\nensure such incidents are appropriately managed in the communication center.
\nEnsure all complaints are fully investigated and remedial plans are implemented
\nand monitored. Ensure crews adhere to turnaround times. Ensure communication
\ncenter crews main a high standard of customer etiquette and communication
\nmedium with customers or clients. Correlate all relevant statics and indicators
\nreceived from shifts and send this information to the head Office. Manage the
\ntracking solution, by ensuring all vehicles are functional and warnings are
\nattended and mitigate against in future. Investigate and report all calls delays and
\ncalls dropped. Investigating service complaints received from internal and
\nexternal stakeholders and reports on these complaints to the EMS head office. Be
\nresponsible for continuous quality improvement and implement strategies in line
\nwith the policy on quality for EMS.Ensure correct radio and telephone procedures
\nare adhered to by all Emergency Care Dispatcher according to protocol. Maintain
\nsecurity and access restriction within control centre whilst on duty. Undertake any
\nother duties as allocated by management.<\/p>\n
