Superintendent X 3 Positions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the department\u2019s objectives and yearly action plans, his\/her mission is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that the team follows safety standards and regulations as per organisation\u2019s policy and MHSA Act,<\/li>\n<li>Oversee quality of Mechanical execution in the plant<\/li>\n<li>Manages and motivates the mechanical team<\/li>\n<li>Ensures co-ordination and co-operation between their and other departments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years experience in a heavy industry<\/li>\n<li>Or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7 years experience in a heavy industry<\/li>\n<li>Or 10 years hand-on experience in a heavy industry with good technical acumen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate clearly on information relating to potentially dangerous situations and get confirmation that they are correctly understood<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that key equipment is working properly<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment<\/li>\n<li>Check for safety and cleanness in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Proper reporting of incidents and carry out investigations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper day-to-day scheduling of work and necessary resources<\/li>\n<li>Assign and review work to be performed with the artisans<\/li>\n<li>Take adequate actions when mechanical incidents occur<\/li>\n<li>Attend and contribute in daily Mission Directed Work Team (MDWT) and RCAs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure, upon completion of repairs, that equipment is in good operating condition, ready to meet operational requirements, fully inspected, tested, clean and safe<\/li>\n<li>Ensure and control quality of maintenance jobs done by contractors<\/li>\n<li>Provide reporting on repair jobs including consumption of materials, specific tools, man hours,<\/li>\n<li>Ensure completion of major operations within schedule (annual shutdowns)<\/li>\n<li>Define the mission and objectives of his workforce in line with the departmental goals<\/li>\n<li>Carry out their team performance reviews<\/li>\n<li>Develops and implements a training plan<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Performs any other reasonable tasks when requested by Mechanical Manager.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimise frequency and severity of accidents or incidents of Maintenance personnel and contractors<\/li>\n<li>Identify development gab of the team in order to improve competency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with Maintenance budget compliance<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to plant Capex formulation and implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improve plant reliability of their respective area of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Equipment failure rate kept to a minimum as per the maintenance department target<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the number of stoppages for incidents (NSFI)<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with the Maintenance Practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that subordinates are trained to perform their duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TECHNICAL &amp; PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of practical Mechanical operations<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the development of quality management methods, for example ISO 9000.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Ball mills, Kilns, Vertical mills, Packer and pallitisers and Diesel equipment (depend on position)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with plant preventative maintenance programmes<\/li>\n<li>Leadership &amp; Management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to delegate<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving &amp; Trouble shooting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage performance of
