REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate Trade Test Certificate \u2022 Minimum of 10 years post qualification
\nexperience as an Artisan\/Artisan Foreman \u2022 Computer literacy \u2022 A valid
\nDriver\u2019s License.<\/p>\n
COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of the National Building
\nRegulation and Building Standards Act No 103 of 1977, Regulations and
\nMunicipal Regulations, Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000,
\nPromotion of Administrative Justice Act of 2000. Government Immovable
\nAsset Management Act of 2007 and Occupational Health and Safety Act of
\n1993 and Regulations.<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Manage technical personnel \u2022 Manage Division Meetings \u2022 Manage job
\nassessments for the Division \u2022 Manage material requirements for the Division
\n\u2022 Manage availability of tools and materials for the Division \u2022 Manage client\u00a0interaction and relations \u2022 Manage scheduling of work \u2022 Manage the overall
\nproductivity of the Division \u2022 Manage the development of maintenance
\nschedules \u2022 Enforce compliance for the keeping of maintenance schedules
\nand records.\u2022 Undertake research and literature studies \u2022 Apply research
\nfindings in the work environment \u2022 Sign performance based on approved Job
\nDescriptions, Strategic and Annual Performance Plans of the Department \u2022
\nManage human resources and maintain discipline \u2022 Manage the provision of
\nequipment required by personnel for achievement of outputs in their
\nrespective Job Descriptions \u2022 Manage skills transfer between personnel and
\noutside technical assistants and\/or consultants \u2022 Plan and allocate work
\nresponsibilities and processes to control work performance including quality
\nassurance. Managing staff performance and budget.<\/p>\n
