(REF.WS \u2013 bridge \u2013 01\/ 0 9\/2015 ), for 201 6 is offering Bursaries for study<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The South African Weather Service invites graduates who are in possession of a three year BSc degree with suitable major subjects such as Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Physics . Oceanography or Meteorological related subjects, to apply for a bursary to undergo a one year course in basic meteorology. The minimum requirements are Mathematics on level 2 and Physics on level 1. The course will include a range of meteorological courses . The students will study at the University of Pretoria . This course will start in February 2016 . On successful completion of the course selected students will have an op portunity to study the BSc meteorology Honours course and the post graduate certificate in Weather Forecasting as stipulated by the South Africa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"auto-style1\"><strong>FORECASTING INTERNSHIP (REF.WS01\/12\/2015 ), for 201 6 is offering Internships for study<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The South African Weather Service invites graduates who are in possession of an honours degree in Meteorology or atmospheric sciences with at least mathematics on second year university level and physical sciences on first year university level to apply for a one year training internship in forecasting at the head office of the South African Weather Service in Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p>This course will start in February 201 6 .<\/p>\n<p><strong>The forecasting offices where forecasters possibly can be appointed are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport , Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following must accompany the application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A certified copy of Matric results<\/li>\n<li>A certified copy of the full academic record to prove the subject choice at the university where applicable<\/li>\n<li>A certified copy of SA identity document<\/li>\n<li>A CV<\/li>\n<li>Motivation Letter<\/li>\n<li>A certified copy of the different degrees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The following will serve as recommendations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good interpersonal relations<\/li>\n<li>A basic level of computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<p>Applications must be submitted on the prescribed <a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.weathersa.co.za\/images\/Bursaries\/Application_form_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">SA Weather Service learnership application form<\/a>, obtainable from the SA Wea ther Service website: <a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.weathersa.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.weathersa.co.za<\/a>\u00a0 or contact Ms. Gugu Maphisa (012 367 6214),<a class=\"apply\" href=\"mailto:gugu.maphisa@weathersa.co.za\" target=\"_blank\">gugu.maphisa@weathersa.co.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In order to be considered, th e learnership application form ( <a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.weathersa.co.za\/images\/Bursaries\/Application_form_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">make use of the bursary application form)<\/a> should also be accompanied by certified copies of matriculation certificates and a testimonial.<\/p>\n<p>Please also state the relevant Ref. no for the res pective region you are applying for.
