\u00a0ONE YEAR BSC BRIDGING COURSE (INTRODUCTION TO METEOROLOGY) FOLLOWED BY HONOURS IN METEOROLOGY AND A POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN WEATHER FORECASTING. (REF.WS \u2013 bridge \u2013 01\/ 0 9\/2015 ), for 201 6 is offering Bursaries for study<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South African Weather Service invites graduates who are in possession of a three year BSc degree with suitable major subjects such as Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Physics . Oceanography or Meteorological related subjects, to apply for a bursary to undergo a one year course in basic meteorology. The minimum requirements are Mathematics on level 2 and Physics on level 1. The course will include a range of meteorological courses . The students will study at the University of Pretoria . This course will start in February 2016 . On successful completion of the course selected students will have an op portunity to study the BSc meteorology Honours course and the post graduate certificate in Weather Forecasting as stipulated by the South Africa.<\/p>\n

FORECASTING INTERNSHIP (REF.WS01\/12\/2015 ), for 201 6 is offering Internships for study<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South African Weather Service invites graduates who are in possession of an honours degree in Meteorology or atmospheric sciences with at least mathematics on second year university level and physical sciences on first year university level to apply for a one year training internship in forecasting at the head office of the South African Weather Service in Pretoria.<\/p>\n

This course will start in February 201 6 .<\/p>\n

The forecasting offices where forecasters possibly can be appointed are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport , Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.<\/p>\n
