The shortage of skills especially scarce and critical kills, are major challenges, with one of the ways of addressing these challenges, being through internships. One of the objectives of the Skills Development Act is to assist new entrants into the labour market, hence the establishment of an effective and efficient internship<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nprogramme.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The NSFAS graduate internship programme is established within the framework of the government\u2019s objectives and it is one of the interventions aimed at capacity building and ensuring accelerated development in order to prepare academically qualified individuals for employment opportunities.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The NSFAS is looking to employ twelve (12) graduate interns from the greater Cape Town surrounding\u00a0areas who meet the following minimum requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unemployed South African graduates<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>A minimum of a three (3) year degree or diploma from higher education institutions in the areas<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nas indicated below<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>No previous experience (Less than one year casual work experience could be considered).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to NSFAS funded graduates<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Relevant Areas &amp; Qualifications<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Human Resources<\/strong> \u2013 BA Industrial Psychology or similar<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Policy and Analysis<\/strong> \u2013 BA Social Sciences majoring in Public Policy, Political Science Management \/ Economics, Information Science majoring in Communications<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Commerce<\/strong> \u2013 BCom General, BCom Internal Auditing, General Management, Quality Management,Risk Management, Supply Chain Management or Procurement, B-Tech Cost &amp; Management Accounting or<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Financial Accounting , B Com Accounting, Business Science \/ Finance,\u00a0 Information &amp; Communications Technology \u2013 BSc Computer Science, BCom Information Systems or B Tech Information Systems \/ Technology.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Communications and Marketing<\/strong> \u2013 Bachelor\u2019s degree or BTech in Marketing &amp;\/or Communications,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Public Relations, Media Studies, Communications Studies, or related.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Personal Attributes<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates will be required to display the following personal attributes<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Role, Detail Oriented &amp; Resilient<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Organised and able to meet deadlines<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Confident communicator<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, as well as within a team<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and display initiative<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<p>Interested applicants who meet the requirements should send detailed Curriculum Vitae, Copies of<br \/>\nAcademic Qualifications and names of two contactable referees to Nokulunga Mtse via email<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<a class=\"apply\" href=\"mailto:jobs@nsfas.org.za\" target=\"_blank\">jobs@nsfas.org.za<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNSFAS is committed to employment equity.
