SALARY : R 243 747 per annum CENTRE : Head Office, Cape Town<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and\/or Accountancy as passed subject and\/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience\/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA\u2019s) of the post. Experience: Appropriate experience in an accounting environment and knowledge of LOGIS and the Modified Cash Basis (MCS) will be an added advantage. Inherent requirement of the job: A valid (Code B\/EB) driver\u2019s licence and willingness to travel.<\/p>\n
Competencies (knowledge\/skills): <\/strong><\/p>\n Extensive knowledge of the compilation of Financial Statements. Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel). Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of accounting principles, GRAP Standards and Accrual Accounting. Analytical and presentation skills. Applicable diploma\/degree in Accounting or Auditing with appropriate experience will be an advantage. Note: Short-listed candidates will be required to do a computer literacy test and presentation as part of the evaluation process. No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post.<\/p>\n DUTIES : Key result areas\/outputs: Responsible for the compilation of AFS (Annual and Interim Financial Statements) of the Department of Health. Maintain Head Office disclosure notes Audit File.<\/p>\n Analyse and advise on changes in the Departmental Financial Reporting Framework Guide relating to relevant disclosure notes. Analyse and advise in respect of the relevant GRAP Standards. Consolidate disclosure note inputs. Check and verify monthly Disclosure Note Reporting.
