Multichoice is building a Quality Management infrastructure to support the entire software engineering value chain (requirements, development, integration, qualification and deployment). The focus at this stage however is on building the test and qualification competencies before looking into the rest of the product lifecycle. The QA Program Manager will be responsible for the conception, execution and monitoring of the end-to-end QA strategy on key programs. This will include responsibility for defining the approach to be taken by all QA teams (Field Trials, Automation and Manual Test) to ensure maximum effectiveness and test coverage as well as guiding, measuring and reporting on team performance in support of program\/project goals. We are looking for an experienced software quality practitioner, ideally one who has had experience in both development and quality engineering domains and who has a good understanding of the latest software quality tools and techniques.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Guide, measure and report on all QA work-streams required to deliver program successfully including CEQA DRT, Field Trials, Automation, HWQA, DSTVO, IBS, E2E, Backend, SMC management, Decoder Analysts, Irdeto, Irdeto Middleware
\n\u2022 Responsible for defining and reporting on the key metrics reflecting the quality of the product under development
\n\u2022 Works with the Labs and Infrastructure Specialist to ensure that adequate test infrastructure exists across the teams, for current as well as roadmap requirements
\n\u2022 Works with the Senior Engineer: QA Processes to ensure that new skills and knowledge is acquired timeously through strategic training programs in line with program goals
\n\u2022 Drive the creation of a coherent test strategy in conjunction with various QA team managers for the program\/project
\n\u2022 Develop, measure and report on agreed quality standards for the different phases of the project
\n\u2022 Drive the definition of and adherence to acceptance criteria for the different gates \u2013 manage and report on realization of these
\n\u2022 Review test plans per QA work stream, with the aim of maximizing coverage, avoiding duplication and promoting re-use
\n\u2022 Ensure test plans are signed off by test discipline owner
\n\u2022 Ensure relevant training is made available on any new methodologies\/tools to be used for the duration of the program
\n\u2022 Minimize duplication of testing and ensure adequate test coverage
\n\u2022 Ensure proper version control and configuration management processes are implemented for all test objects developed and test environments used
\n\u2022 Regular reporting of appropriate measurements and metrics to senior management<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 3 year Bachelors\u2019 degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
\n\u2022 Program\/Project management qualification preferable
\n\u2022 At least 7 years\u2019 software development or quality management experience , preferably in an embedded software environment, with at least 3 years\u2019 being at a management level
\n\u2022 At least 3 years\u2019 experience managing software project delivery or aspects of software project delivery
\n\u2022 Experience engaging\/presenting at Executive level
\n\u2022 Evidence of program\/project portfolio, with details of actual responsibilities on each assignment
\n\u2022 Practical understanding of digital TV broadcast and receiver technologies advantageous<\/p>\n
