Distell presents exciting opportunities for candidates for potential placement in our Quality Department in Wadeville.<\/p>\n
The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their last year of study\/have completed their studies and require exposure in a work environment or have a prerequisite to have practical work experience before qualification.<\/p>\n
Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract.<\/p>\n
This position will be based in Wadeville branch.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Services Manager.<\/p>\n
Purpose of the Position<\/u><\/p>\n
Support the Quality Function at the branch.<\/p>\n
Key Learning Areas<\/u><\/p>\n
\u2022 Perform accurate and timeous analyses on liquor samples
\n\u2022 Maintain laboratory equipment in area of responsibility
\n\u2022 Assist in maintaining the Quality Management system
\n\u2022 Perform admin duties
\n\u2022 Maintain SABS ISO 9002\/HACCP documentation
\n\u2022 Assist in problem solving
\n\u2022 Assist with Quality audit in Warehouse<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist with monthly report to QC Controller of all pertinent QC matters arising during that month<\/p>\n
To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:<\/u><\/p>\n
\u2022 Final year of obtaining tertiary qualification \u2013 degree \/ diploma;
\n\u2022 Computer literacy \u2013 Word, Excel, PowerPoint will be an advantage
\n\u2022 Sound communication and presentation skills
\n\u2022 Effective time management
\n\u2022 Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
\n\u2022 Ability to work in a team
\n\u2022 Willingness to travel and work after hours<\/p>\n
\u2022 Driver\u2019s License would be beneficial<\/p>\n
