MMI I&O has an exciting opportunity for an intern to join our IT Risk and Governance team based at our Centurion offices.<\/p>\n
MMI Holdings Limited (MMI) is a South African based financial services group listed on the South African stock exchange, the JSE.<\/p>\n
The core businesses of MMI are long and short-term insurance, asset management, savings, investment, healthcare administration and employee benefits.<\/p>\n

We will be running a twelve month internship programme commencing in January 2016.<\/p>\n
POSITION PURPOSE<\/u><\/p>\n
Information Security Management is responsible for ensuring that MMI is protected from information security threats.<\/p>\n
To proactively address security threats that the environment faces.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS<\/u><\/p>\n
\u2022 IT Diploma<\/p>\n
\u2022 A few months working experience will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
WORK OUTPUT<\/u><\/p>\n
Intern- Information Security Work output<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist in firewall administration duties.
\n\u2022 Monitor security systems and report on any abnormal
\n\u2022 Perform firewall health checks
\n\u2022 Assist in SIEM monitoring and administration
\n\u2022 Report on the threats to create awareness to all relevant role players<\/p>\n
\u2022 Conduct information security assessments.<\/p>\n
