PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acquire, attract and retain a portfolio of commercial clients, with a primary focus on switching new business from competitor banks and timeous migration of the existing portfolio to a Relationship Manager<\/p>\n

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Identify, research, create and follow up a target list for potential new business
\nIncrease and grow (income) in line with agreed targets by:
\ngenerating ongoing referral business
\nidentifying potential Segment business clients
\nEnsure the creation and maintenance of an effective network in terms of competitor financiers, Business Chambers and Business forums
\nFocus on cross sell ratio improvement
\nIdentify sales and services opportunities and offering solutions appropriate for the customer’s needs
\nAdopt a commercial approach to cost control and income generation
\nResponsible for delivering a solutions based approach to the customer through use of a customer needs analysis
\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of the regional market trends and business lifecycle challenges
\nParticipate in seminars for customers and provide information and trail new products to meet future customer requirements
\nUnderstand and apply the relevant governance and compliance procedures
\nDevelop credit solutions which are both practical and appropriate for customers
\nResponsible for managing the credit risk
\nIdentify channels of potential new customers
\nWork proactively with colleagues across the group to support the growth of lead generation
\nProactively raise the profile and reputation of the Bank in the local community
\nProvide financial advice to existing and new customers within the local community<\/p>\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

B Degree in Finance or Accounting or Marketing or equivalent NQF level 6 or higher qualification
\nFAIS NQF level 6 qualification
\nFive (5) years customer facing experience in corporate or financial industry
\nThree (3) years experience in working towards sales targets
\nThree (3) business acquisition experience
\nOne (1) year credit risk experience
\nThree (3) years FAIS role experience
\nProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
\nNo criminal record<\/p>\n

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Post Graduate qualification in Marketing or equivalent NQF level 6 or higher qualification
\nExperience in analysing corporate or commercial clients financials
\nPreference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status<\/p>\n
