SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONER REF NO: 287\/2015 Directorate: Supply Chain Management<\/p>\n
SALARY : R243 747 per annum CENTRE : Middelburg, Eastern Cape<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : A diploma\/degree in Public Administration or Public Management or Purchasing Management or Logistics Management or Cost and Accounting Management with extensive experience in Supply Chain Management.<\/p>\n
In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999) and Treasury Regulations. Computer literacy (MS Office, etc) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Problem-solving skills. The ability to plan and organise tasks, motivate people and work under pressure.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of LOGIS and completion of LOGIS 1. Knowledge of Basic Accounting System (BAS), contract administration, pro-quote system (invitation of quotations) and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA).<\/p>\n
DUTIES : Be responsible to maintain and exercise control over the Demand and Acquisition, Asset Management and Logistics Management Sections. Implement SCM policies and ensure that all procurement of goods and services is in accordance with the delegations and directives.<\/p>\n
Verify and authorise transactions on the LOGIS system, apply the SCOA in Supply Chain Management and verifications of invited quotations on the pro-quote system.<\/p>\n
Plan, coordinate and facilitate stock taking. Ensure that payments to all creditors are done within 30 days of receipt of invoice. Identify redundant stock. Manage inventory and consumable reporting. Identify and monitor risk. Manage financial and other resources of the Directorate.<\/p>\n
Attend to queries relating to supply chain management. Supervise staff and manage the EPMDS. Assist with the compilation of the Financial Statements regarding accruals, commitments, finance leases and contracts. Be responsible for document tracking, storage and retrievals.<\/p>\n
