{"id":26438,"date":"2016-02-10T10:47:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T08:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=26438"},"modified":"2016-02-10T10:47:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T08:47:00","slug":"masters-bursary-at-cenfri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/masters-bursary-at-cenfri.html","title":{"rendered":"Masters Bursary at CENFRI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of their strategy to secure future top talent, Cenfri is pro-actively funding promising students during their studies, with the aim of employing them upon completing their Masters&#8217; qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>The entry requirements for the bursary programme as well as Analyst positions are detailed below.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants will be evaluated against both sets of criteria.<\/p>\n<p><u>Our R25 000 bursaries are awarded on the following terms:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Available to Masters students: Both first and final year students.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Automatic consideration in the next recruitment round after studies: Upon completion, Cenfri has first option of recruiting you to join the firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Can be held concurrently with other funding mechanisms: May be held with any other funding mechanisms (such as postgraduate bursaries from the university, or NRF funding) provided there is no employment clause.<\/p>\n<p><u>REQUIREMENTS<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Bursary Entry requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SA citizens or permanent SA residents only<\/li>\n<li>Current Masters student in good standing with the University<\/li>\n<li>Currently completing Master&#8217;s degree in Economics or related fields<\/li>\n<li>Advanced English language skills (verbal and written)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated interest in the field of development economics and financial sector development<\/li>\n<li>Good quantitative and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>A strong interest in research-related activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Additional employment requirements that will also be considerate:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exposure to development economics or international development is beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Stata and the analysis of household survey data is advantageous<\/li>\n<li>A strong interest in research-related activities and a passion for development<\/li>\n<li>Good writing and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Advanced English language skills (verbal &amp; written) with additional languages such as Spanish, French and\/or Portuguese an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel within South Africa and abroad<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cenfri.workable.com\/\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to CENFRI CAREER PAGE<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of their strategy to secure future top talent, Cenfri is pro-actively funding promising students during their studies, with the aim of employing them upon completing their Masters&#8217; qualifications&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[334],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
