{"id":26739,"date":"2016-03-11T10:45:47","date_gmt":"2016-03-11T08:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=26739"},"modified":"2016-07-07T00:15:02","modified_gmt":"2016-07-06T22:15:02","slug":"abi-warehouse-learnerships-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/abi-warehouse-learnerships-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"ABI: Warehouse Learnerships Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The purpose of this program is to equip learners to understand and acquaint themselves with the underlying principles of all of the major areas related to distribution within the Wholesale &amp; Retail sector, thus enabling them to become more effective employees.<\/p>\n<p>WAREHOUSE LEARNERSHIPS<br \/>\nREGION &amp; SITE: All Regions (Pretoria, Midrand, Devland, KZN)<\/p>\n<p>GRADE P20<\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacancy within the Warehouse Department.<\/p>\n<p><u>KEY PURPOSE<\/u><\/p>\n<p>This Certificate provides learners with grounding in all areas of Distribution.<\/p>\n<p>This may enable them not only to increase their productivity within the Wholesale and Retail Sector but also to apply their learning in various other business environments.<\/p>\n<p><u>LEARNERSHIP: The qualified learner will be exposed to:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reading, writing and verbal communication within the distribution environment<br \/>\n\u2022 Rational and irrational numbers and number systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Receiving of stock into the wholesale or retail outlet<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintaining stock balances<br \/>\n\u2022 Safe delivery of stock to customers<br \/>\n\u2022 Legal requirement, organisation policies and procedures for the transportation of goods<br \/>\n\u2022 Administrative functions related to stock receipt and delivery<br \/>\n\u2022 The packing of stock in appropriately selected areas<br \/>\n\u2022 Picking of stock<br \/>\n\u2022 The financial impact of stock on the business<br \/>\n\u2022 Picking, packing and movement of stock in order to minimize damages<br \/>\n\u2022 Stock flow through the DC\/Warehouse<br \/>\n\u2022 The recording of stock movement on the stock management system<br \/>\n\u2022 Stock take procedures<br \/>\n\u2022 The wholesale &amp; retail business environment<br \/>\n\u2022 Legislation regarding Occupational Health and Safety and applicable safety procedures in the workplace<br \/>\n\u2022 Appropriate actions to be taken with regards to hazards and emergency situations<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintaining of Internal and external housekeeping standards<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintaining of Customer service and satisfaction levels<\/p>\n<p><u>COMPETENCIES<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self Motivated<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact well in teams<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>QUALIFICATIONS \/ EXPERIENCE<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Matric with Maths and Science<\/li>\n<li>Diploma: Logistics Management an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>No Experience required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>DURATION OF THE LEARNING PROGRAMME:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>A learner embarking on this Qualification needs to obtain a minimum value of 120 credits to qualify for the Qualification; this learnership runs over a period of 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>The advert has minimum requirements listed.
