{"id":26832,"date":"2016-03-23T12:46:58","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T10:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=26832"},"modified":"2016-11-11T12:40:54","modified_gmt":"2016-11-11T10:40:54","slug":"csir-internship-smart-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/csir-internship-smart-systems.html","title":{"rendered":"CSIR: Internship in Smart Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CSIR has an Internship opportunity in the Command Control and Information Warfare competence area within the Defence, Peace, Safety and Security unit.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this role is to equip new graduates with practical experience while assisting with software design, implementation, test and deployment.<\/p>\n<p>The software development will be in desktop applications, web and mobile domains, depending on the skills and selected technical path of the incumbent.<\/p>\n<p>The application domain is command &amp; control technologies in general, ranging from information systems to advanced modelling &amp; simulation.<\/p>\n<p>This position is based in Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p><u>Key responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Software design and design inputs;<\/li>\n<li>Software development;<\/li>\n<li>Software testing and evaluation;<\/li>\n<li>Software deployment and use;<\/li>\n<li>Concept development and experimentation support;<\/li>\n<li>Research and development in related command &amp; control technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Qualifications, skills and experience:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a Bachelor of Engineering computer engineering;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function independently and as part of a team;<\/li>\n<li>Be self-motivated with good communication skills, both verbal and written;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform under pressure and manage or contribute to projects within allocated time;<\/li>\n<li>A self-starter, taking initiative to provide innovative solutions to software related problems in the command &amp; control domain, with enthusiasm will be successful in the position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>South African citizenship is required as security clearance is required for this position.<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 31 March 2016<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.csir.co.za\/recruitment\/doc1\/Final%20Advert_2_306623.pdf\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to CSIR APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CSIR has an Internship opportunity in the Command Control and Information Warfare competence area within the Defence, Peace, Safety and Security unit.
