{"id":27157,"date":"2016-04-29T10:55:07","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T08:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=27157"},"modified":"2016-04-29T10:59:39","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T08:59:39","slug":"chemistry-graduate-recruitment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/chemistry-graduate-recruitment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Chemistry Graduate Recruitment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES<\/strong> The overall responsibility of the successful candidate is: \uf0b7 Development of new analytical methods, or improvement of methods in the field of Analytical Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Perform analysis and trouble shouting related to methods and instruments.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Documentation and checking of results on the identified databases.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Performance and documentation of all quality control checks of identified analytical test according to the ISO 17025 accreditation system.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Undertaking maintenance of equipment\/instrumentation and keeping of appropriate documentation.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Adherence to SHEQ practices and good housekeeping principles in the area of work<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 BSc degree\/Honours in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Experience in research projects and techniques.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCY PROFILE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Knowledge and understanding of analytical chemistry methods and techniques<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Knowledge of good laboratory practice (GLP)<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Basic statistical knowledge<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Computer literacy in Word Processing and spreadsheet applications.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Ability to prioritise, organise and plan.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Skilled in the application of analytical methodologies and instrument techniques<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attitude:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Quality and output driven person who can handle pressure and routine work.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Ability to interact with staff and customers<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Team worker but must also be able to work independently<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Conscientious and pays attention to detail<\/p>\n<p>In evaluating prospective applicants and making the final selection, preference will be given to Females and People with Disability to give effect to Rand Water\u2019s Employment Equity Objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Should you not receive correspondence from Rand Water within 30 days from the closing date, Please accept that your application has been unsuccessful.
