Bursaries are available to new applicants and students who are interested in furthering their studies at any of the Public Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET Colleges in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) invites students\/undergraduates who are interested in joining the local government sector to apply for our bursary opportunity.<\/p>\n
The LGSETA will only fund a course which falls within the scarce and critical skills areas in Local Government.<\/p>\n
Bursaries are available to new applicants and students who are interested in furthering their studies at any of the Public Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET Colleges in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The bursary will cover the cost of registration, tuition, books and residence fees for up to the maximum amount of R 50 000 per annum.<\/p>\n
In making the final selection, first preference will be given to:<\/u><\/p>\n
– Previously Disadvantaged Individuals
\n– People with Disabilities
\n– South African Citizens<\/p>\n
– Unemployed youth<\/p>\n
Bursary Application Form<\/u><\/p>\n Should you have passed Grade 12 but have not commenced further studies and are still within the qualifying age, you need to provide your final Grade 12 examination results.<\/p>\n If you are in your first year at an institution, include a certified copy of your Grade 12 examination results and current academic results.<\/p>\n Attach proof of registration for those beyond first year of study ( applicable for continuing students only)<\/p>\n Attach highest qualification obtained if applicable<\/p>\n Proof of Income\/ Affidavit (for unemployed), and certified ID copies of parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n A motivational letter written by yourself, the applicant, stating why you should be considered for a bursary and explaining why you require funding via the bursary.<\/p>\n Your application will NOT be considered if you do not furnish proof of the required academic results or records.<\/p>\n Attach certified copies of the required documents at the back of the application form. Do NOT submit them separately. Do NOT send original documents.<\/p>\n How to apply<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Application forms are obtainable from the LGSETA website: www.lgseta.org.za<\/strong> to download and also at the LGSETA provincial offices.<\/p>\n Completed application forms with the attachments should be submitted to: LGSETA, 47 Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview, 2007 or emailed to Bursaryapp@lgseta.org.za<\/a>.
