{"id":27683,"date":"2016-05-25T11:03:22","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T09:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=27683"},"modified":"2016-05-25T11:03:22","modified_gmt":"2016-05-25T09:03:22","slug":"lg-seta-bursary-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/lg-seta-bursary-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"LG Seta Bursary 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bursaries are available to new applicants and students who are interested in furthering their studies at any of the Public Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET Colleges in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) invites students\/undergraduates who are interested in joining the local government sector to apply for our bursary opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>The LGSETA will only fund a course which falls within the scarce and critical skills areas in Local Government.<\/p>\n<p>Bursaries are available to new applicants and students who are interested in furthering their studies at any of the Public Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET Colleges in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The bursary will cover the cost of registration, tuition, books and residence fees for up to the maximum amount of R 50 000 per annum.<\/p>\n<p><u>In making the final selection, first preference will be given to:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Previously Disadvantaged Individuals<br \/>\n&#8211; People with Disabilities<br \/>\n&#8211; South African Citizens<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Unemployed youth<\/p>\n<p><u>Bursary Application Form<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please complete the application form in black ink.<\/li>\n<li>Complete one form per learner<\/li>\n<li>Originally certified copy of your ID Document<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Should you have passed Grade 12 but have not commenced further studies and are still within the qualifying age, you need to provide your final Grade 12 examination results.<\/p>\n<p>If you are in your first year at an institution, include a certified copy of your Grade 12 examination results and current academic results.<\/p>\n<p>Attach proof of registration for those beyond first year of study ( applicable for continuing students only)<\/p>\n<p>Attach highest qualification obtained if applicable<\/p>\n<p>Proof of Income\/ Affidavit (for unemployed), and certified ID copies of parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n<p>A motivational letter written by yourself, the applicant, stating why you should be considered for a bursary and explaining why you require funding via the bursary.<\/p>\n<p>Your application will NOT be considered if you do not furnish proof of the required academic results or records.<\/p>\n<p>Attach certified copies of the required documents at the back of the application form. Do NOT submit them separately. Do NOT send original documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>How to apply<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application forms are obtainable from the LGSETA website: <strong>www.lgseta.org.za<\/strong> to download and also at the LGSETA provincial offices.<\/p>\n<p>Completed application forms with the attachments should be submitted to: LGSETA, 47 Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview, 2007 or emailed to <a href=\"mailto:Bursaryapp@lgseta.org.za\">Bursaryapp@lgseta.org.za<\/a>.
