Opportunities exist in Hyde Park, Johannesburg and Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n<p>Projects will primarily comprise of research (desktop and other economic literature sources), data gathering and analysis and project administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting structure and location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reports to Management level and is based in Hyde Park and or Kenya<\/p>\n<p>There are seven practice areas in which applications exist. Applicants will be considered for one practice area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Applied Behavioural Economics<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Banking Strategy<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Health Advisory<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Competition and Regulation<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Infrastructure and PPP<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Shared Value<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Evaluation 4 development<\/p>\n<p><strong><span id=\"MainContent_lbltitle2\" class=\"Titles\">Requirements:<\/span><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to perform rigorous economic analysis of data and reports using both conceptual and quantitative approaches<\/li>\n<li>Interest related to chosen practice area such as economics, banking, health, strategy or development.<\/li>\n<li>Application of economic thinking and logical problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of clearly thought out and logically written documentation<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform relevant research related to projects to source required data<\/li>\n<li>Ability to clean data sourced to make it project specific and relevant<\/li>\n<li>Client interaction and negotiation with guidance from a senior team member<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to the building of intellectual capacity and property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Characteristics, skills and previous experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong academic background \u2013 Minimum of a recognised Honours or Masters in Economics\/PPE\/ Demography\/ Health \/ PDM\/ MSc Epidemiology and Biostatistics\/Master of Public Health\/Master of Science in Medicine\/Health related undergraduate (Physiology \u00a0\/ Masters of Public Development Management\/ Development Studies\/ Research Psychology\/ Demography and Population Studies<\/li>\n<li>Graduate \u2013 prior economics\/consulting\/research experience a distinct advantage<\/li>\n<li>Passion for economics<\/li>\n<li>Proactive self starter who displays confidence and assertiveness in their approach<\/li>\n<li>Written and verbal conviction \u2013 ability to communicate at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently<\/li>\n<li>Strong research, analytical and lateral thought processes<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Reliable and dependable<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain strict ethical standards and client confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritise<\/li>\n<li>Confident networker<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Sound judgement<\/li>\n<li>Professional approach and appearance<\/li>\n<li>Sound analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solver<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel into the SADC region and locally ( this is dependent on the practice area)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced PC literacy (MS Office Suite, STATA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Genesis Analytics is recruiting for graduates ( Internships, Bursaries, Employment) with an Honours or Master\u2019s degree in Economics, Health , Infrastructure, Strategy, Competition, \u00a0or Development, to apply their deep analytical&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[38],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
