Bursaries are granted for full-time study of Actuarial Science at various tertiary institutions.<\/p>\n
Applicants must show the ability to innovate and share our passion for people; thus maintaining our competitive advantage.<\/p>\n
Successful applicants are expected to do a minimum amount of vacation work during the June and December holidays at Liberty Life’s Head Office in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
Bursaries are reviewed after each examination based on the student’s academic performance and are renewed annually.<\/p>\n
All bursaries are granted on merit, but preference is given to black (African, Coloured and Indian) applicants.<\/p>\n

One hundred and seventy six actuarial staff members, of whom 64 are Fellows of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) are currently employed.<\/p>\n
Ongoing support, in the form of further study opportunities, the arranging of actuarial conferences and administrative support is provided by the company\u2019s Actuarial Development Programme.<\/p>\n
We have actuarial staff members from graduate level to Executive Directors working in areas ranging from traditional life insurance and pensions, to banking and finance roles.<\/p>\n
Functions include product development, health, asset management, pensions, consultancy and financial solutions.<\/p>\n
