\nLiaise closely with content department, in respect of the presented budgets, to assist them in finalizing their budget documents.
\nManage monthly amortization of content, including operational budgets (I\/S, B\/S & Cash Flow):
\nInform the relevant stakeholders should there be significant variances so they can adjust accordingly.
\nLiaise with Content as to the reason for the significant variances.
\nPrepare monthly cost centre reallocation journals.
\nManage audit year-end and interim related queries.
\nInstruct the relevant stakeholders of any budgetary changes required by Finance.
\nEnsure that any required budgetary changes are made.
\nCreate 10 year rolling budget and forecasts.
\nPrepare budget forecasts and analysis of the content budget and inventory.
\nMonitor changes on content management system and content inventory in terms of the budget.
\nSupport Content acquisitions with the preparation of offer analysis including budget impact and scenario analysis.
\nRevenue:
\nReview agreements with partners to ensure proper accounting treatment of revenue
\nReview and sign-off on bank reconciliations on revenue account
\nInvolvement in forecasting and budgeting of revenue
\nProvide commentary on budget variances<\/p>\n
\nAssist in the development and implementation of systems and process workflows.<\/p>\n
\nAnalyse the effect of the acquisitions of independent and studio output content, including the production of original content.
\nAssist with maximizing content inventory allowing for various viewer consumption trends.
\nAnalyse other ad-hoc projects
\nRevenue:
\nProvide commentary on variances compared to budget and forecasts
\nAnalyse trends in subscriber numbers and the impact on revenue<\/p>\n
\nAny additional tasks allocated \/ required by business.<\/p>\n
\nPrior media experience will be an advantage
\nStrong knowledge of and a passion for TV is essential
\nAdvanced computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) is essential
\nNegotiations experience will be an advantage
\nFinancial management and strategic planning is essential
\nPrior experience of presentations will be an advantage<\/p>\n
