FHI 360 serves more than 70 countries and all U.S. states and territories. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: <strong>Senior Program Officer<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>The position is located within the East and Southern Africa regional office, which provides oversight and support to 16 countries in the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The SPO Provides Guidance And Support To Staff And Partners In The Following Areas<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Program support. Provide support in areas including start-up, work planning, budget development, reporting, implementation, close-out and general problem-solving.<\/li>\n<li>Program oversight. Provide oversight in areas including budget monitoring, sub-award management, and tracking of deliverables, targets, reports, etc. Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge management. Provide support in documenting project approaches and achievements.<\/li>\n<li>Business development. Support proposal development, particularly sections on budget, management, and staffing.<\/li>\n<li>Communication and coordination. Facilitate communication between countries\/projects and other relevant internal and external stakeholders, including HQ units.<\/li>\n<li>Regional planning. Contribute to regional strategic planning, work planning and budgeting processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field. Master\u2019s degree preferred.<\/li>\n<li>8+ years\u2019 experience in NGO program management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience implementing donor-funded projects, particularly USAID\/PEPFAR.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Availability to travel up to 25% within the region.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent written and spoken English required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This job description summarizes the main duties of the job.
