We are passionate about the world of travel, and all things digital &#8211; and we would love to share our passion with you.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking a full-time<strong> Content Editor <\/strong>to lead our new and dynamic digital content development team. The ideal candidate would have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a digital media environment and a passion for African travel. You will play an instrumental role at the intersection of digital content creation, distribution, marketing, and sales.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p><\/u><\/strong>As Content Editor, your key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following<\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Defining the style, guidelines, and structures for digital content across various media and channels<\/li>\n<li>Using various qualitative and quantitative tools to develop digital content creation strategies across different platforms and languages<\/li>\n<li>Strategizing with key stakeholders in our marketing, sales, product, and systems development teams to ensure synergy<\/li>\n<li>Determining and ensuring tone of voice and key brand messaging across our various brands and websites<\/li>\n<li>Drawing up and managing a calendar which ensures that projects are completed by final delivery dates<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring writers and interns across our five business languages: English, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese<\/li>\n<li>Researching, writing, and editing engaging and accurate digital content \u2013 such as tours, hotel and destination reviews, and facts and information \u2013 across Rhino Africa\u2019s numerous brands, websites, and platforms<\/li>\n<li>Utilizing Google Analytics and other digital platforms to measure the success of content distribution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You will earn a competitive salary and the position is based at our Cape Town office. If you are interested in this position, please send your application stating the earliest date you could start and indicating your salary expectations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Requirements<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in content creation, editing and management<\/li>\n<li>A background in copywriting, editing, content management, and communications is essential<\/li>\n<li>An excellent grasp of (and flair for) English.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of German, French, Spanish and\/or Portuguese is a big plus<\/li>\n<li>Strict attention to detail and accurate spelling and grammar<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving skills, and a knack for research and writing<\/li>\n<li>An excellent understanding of content production and distribution across various platforms and channels<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking and business sense, in order to marry the creative process with business logic, is essential<\/li>\n<li>The ability to adapt to different writing styles and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work reliably and efficiently while meeting tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and as a team player<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>A basic understanding of SEO is a must<\/li>\n<li>A basic understanding of Google Analytics is a must<\/li>\n<li>An analytical approach to assessment of digital content quality and performance<\/li>\n<li>An immense love for the written word and for quality content<\/li>\n<li>An incurable case of wanderlust, passion for travel and African wildlife<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to PDI candidates<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits<\/p>\n<p><\/u><\/strong>Office space in the heart of Cape Town, one of the world\u2019s top destinations<\/p>\n<p>Competitive salary and 20 days paid vacation<\/p>\n<p>Rhino Cafe offering subsidized freshly ground coffee and gourmet meals<\/p>\n<p>Uncomplicated flat hierarchies, a culture of open and direct communication and honest feedback<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rhino Africa is Africa\u2019s leading online travel company.
