\nThe purpose of this job is to effectively manage the organisations\u2019 network services, in particular the Vodacom Business Customer X as a Service environment (IAAS,PAAS,SAAS), which include virtual servers in a multi tenanted environment. This will ensure that services that are sold to customers are provided to our customers are constantly available, secure and perform optimally at all times Also to ensure that appropriate security measures and mechanisms to guard against unauthorized access to electronically stored and \/or transmitted patient data and protect against reasonably anticipated threats and hazards.<\/p>\n
\nProvides 3 nd Tier technical escalation support to the 1 st Line Helpdesk and assess technology security risk periodically.
\nPlan, design and build the Enterprise core network. Also conduct functionality and gap analyses to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
\nDevelopment of equipment lists and solution documentation including HLD\u2019s, LLD\u2019s & SoW\u2019s. Also to evaluate and recommend new information security technologies and counter-measures against threats to information or privacy.
\nProvide support to Technical Product development team to develop Enterprise products.
\nResearching and developing potential new products and services that can be sold to existing and new customers.<\/p>\n
\nExtensive knowledge of IP Networks.
\nExtensive experience in designing Data Centre server environments. Extensive knowledge of Storage network environments.
\nExtensive knowledge of trouble shooting and fault finding on a virtual server and network environment,
\nKnowledge of server Technologies such as VMWare and Microsoft Hyper V. Proven experience in performing a mentorship function to junior engineers<\/p>\n
\nMatric (Essential)
\nRelevant 3yr degree\/ diploma\u2019s and certifications Vmware\/Microsoft certifications essential
\nA minimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant experience: Working experience in a relevant role, i.e. server and storage technologies
\nExperience working in relevant environment\/s, i.e. Telecommunications Industry
\nExperience working in relevant market\/context, i.e. Microsoft, Vmware, EMC, SAP etc<\/p>\n
