People with disabilities are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Santam Direct has a position available for a <strong>Sales Consultant<\/strong> who will be based in <strong>Auckland Park<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will offer world class products and services to clients, whilst achieving sales targets in an inbound and outbound call centre environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Selling products over the telephone in an outbound model.<\/li>\n<li>Maximising each outbound call received by attempting to \u201cturn\u201d into a sale.<\/li>\n<li>Achieving of sales targets and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to quality and compliance processes to minimise business risk.<\/li>\n<li>Quality management of all outputs, with the end customer in mind<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining optimal operational efficiencies (productivity measures to be achieved).<\/li>\n<li>Adapting and changing to fit in with changing business operational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Building and maintaining good client relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Updating\/entering call outcome information on TeleApp\/Avaya for later follow-up or closure.<\/li>\n<li>Managing information regarding new products, rate changes, rulings, training updates etc.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping abreast of developments and trends in the industry (self learning).<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring commitment to the FAIS fit and proper qualification requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric certificate or relevant NQF 4 qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 30 Personal Lines short-term insurance credits preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Passed RE 5.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience within a sales inbound\/outbound call centre.<\/li>\n<li>Financial services experience.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English and one other official language.<\/li>\n<li>Clear criminal and credit record.<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with FAIS Fit and Proper criteria i.e. minimum experience and competency requirements, which can be obtained while working under supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work shifts as well as overtime.<\/li>\n<li>Good sales track record.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of short-term insurance processes , procedures and business rules advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Clean track record in terms of adherence to quality standard and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Consistent target achievement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SKILLS <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer literate (MS Office package).<\/li>\n<li>Client service oriented.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Deadline and results-driven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical thinking.<\/li>\n<li>Information seeking .<\/li>\n<li>Drive for results.<\/li>\n<li>Initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Emotional control.<\/li>\n<li>Customer service orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santam is the market leader in the general insurance industry in South Africa.
