{"id":29488,"date":"2016-07-21T03:27:07","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T01:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=29488"},"modified":"2016-11-24T14:42:28","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T12:42:28","slug":"vodacom-bursary-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/vodacom-bursary-programme.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom Bursary Programme 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Vodacom External Bursary Programme enables South African citizens to obtain bursaries for full-time studies at accredited tertiary institutions for degrees at undergraduate level in specific fields of study, which meet the particular needs and skills requirements of the Vodacom Group.<\/p>\n<div>The programme is intended to contribute to the establishment of a robust pipeline of entry level talent, while taking the company\u2019s transformation agenda into consideration.\u00a0Since the scheme was started in 1999, more than 1 000 bursaries have been awarded.<strong>Applicants can apply for a Vodacom Bursary if they intend to gain a qualification in one of the following fields of study:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Light Current only)<\/li>\n<li>Actuarial Science<\/li>\n<li>Mathematic\/Mathematical Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Statistics<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>BSc Computer Science<\/li>\n<li>BSc Computer Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Information Systems<\/li>\n<li>Bcom (Accounting\/Finance\/Economics)<\/li>\n<li>Digital Marketing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Applicants need to meet the following requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>undertake full-time undergraduate studies in a South African tertiary institution<\/li>\n<li>pass Grade 12 with exemption<\/li>\n<li>obtain a minimum \u201cB\u201d symbol in both Mathematics and Science Higher Grade<\/li>\n<li>be younger than 25 years<\/li>\n<li>applicants may apply if already first year (or higher) of studies in an accredited South African tertiary institution and meet all criteria above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Applications for bursaries open on 1 July and must be submitted by 30 August 2016.<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/digitalclassroom.co.za\/digitalclassroom\/images\/2016_-_July\/Vodacom_bursary_form_2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a><\/strong> to download the Vodacom Foundation Bursary application form<br \/>\nComplete the form &amp; email to <a href=\"mailto:applications@careerwise.co.za\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>applications@careerwise.co.za<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0Form can also be faxed to 086 609 7183.Before submitting your application, please consider our eligibility requirements.
