ADVERT REF: 2016\/931<br \/>\nJOB TITLE: LEARNER PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN : CENTRAL SUPPORT SERVICES<br \/>\nJOB GRADE: 14<br \/>\nAREA: Central Support Services<br \/>\nDEPARTMENT: Phlebotomy Learnership<\/p>\n<p>ACTUAL PLACE OF WORK: Centurion (Pretoria)<\/p>\n<p><u>CAPE:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Classroom training is based in Centurion, Pretoria. Practical training will take place at any of the AMPATH depots in the Gauteng region.<\/p>\n<p>No accommodation or transport will be provided. Upon completion of the Phlebotomy Learnership Programme the learner will be placed in the Cape Region.<\/p>\n<p><u>KZN:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Classroom training is based in Westridge, Durban. Practical training will take place at any of the AMPATH depots in the Durban region.<\/p>\n<p>No accommodation or transport will be provided. Upon completion of the Phlebotomy Learnership Programme the learner will be placed in the KZN Region.<\/p>\n<p><u>GAUTENG:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Classroom training is based in Centurion, Pretoria. Practical training will take place at any of the AMPATH depots in the Gauteng region.<\/p>\n<p>No accommodation or transport will be provided. Upon completion of the Phlebotomy Learnership Programme the learner will be placed in the Gauteng Region.<\/p>\n<p>POSITION TYPE: Contract<br \/>\nCONTRACT DURATION: 24 Months<\/p>\n<p>WEEKLY HOURS: 40 Hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grade 12 with English, biology and maths as subjects<br \/>\nMathematical literacy NQF level 3<br \/>\nLiteracy NQF level 3<br \/>\nEnglish (1st language NQF level 3) and (2nd language NQF level 2)<br \/>\nCommunication skills<br \/>\nNumerical reasoning skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Level 1 first aid training<br \/>\nHome-care based training<br \/>\nBasic knowledge of MS Word<br \/>\nBasic knowledge of Excel<br \/>\nComputer skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform phlebotomy related administrative tasks to ensure correct recording and processing of information.<br \/>\nManage money\/cash flow of depot to facilitate collection of payments for phlebotomy services rendered.<br \/>\nPerform phlebotomy procedures in order to ensure sufficient delivery of nursing services.<br \/>\nPerform safety tasks to ensure safety standards are upheld.<br \/>\nMaintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
