Developing, monitoring and tracking management information (MI) of credit risk strategies and developing reports to highlight credit risk trends to management within the portfolio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Portfolio strategy development, implementation, tracking and analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse the performance to gain insight and understand the commercial, operational and customer impacts of the portfolio strategy<\/li>\n<li>Document, recommend and present key portfolio results\/findings and design improved strategies that will outperform previous strategies<\/li>\n<li>Follow appropriate governance processes for strategy approval<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Forecasting and monthly credit risk MI analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Forecasting of key portfolio metrics as per operating plans<\/li>\n<li>Make appropriate recommendations to address unfavourable variances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Involvement in Specific Analytical Projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prove the business effectiveness and\/or efficiency of analytically-driven implementations (Post Implementation Reviews)<\/li>\n<li>Based on proven results or convincing analytical prediction, recommend and implement appropriate champion \/ challenger strategies to continually \u201ctest and learn\u201d to improve portfolio profitability<\/li>\n<li>Align implementations to RiskOps\/Ops\/IT\/Vendor\/Implementation resourcing requirements to ensure they are on-time, and to the required standards.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively integrate with ABSA, Barclays and WFS departments to ensure implementation practicality and business quality as appropriate<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and application of credit scoring and risk management techniques across the entire credit life cycle on consumer portfolios<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability in analytics, business acumen and presenting \/ communicating recommendations across all organisation levels<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with diverse teams to ensure effective implementation of projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to cross check data integrity and validation<\/li>\n<li>Understanding system and data relationships in order to improve the analytical recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analysing<\/li>\n<li>Applying expertise and technology<\/li>\n<li>Persuading and influencing<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising<\/li>\n<li>Adapting and responding to change<\/li>\n<li>Commercial thinking<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in Information Systems, Business, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics<\/li>\n<li>Or equivalent industry training and experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 At least 2-3 years analytical experience on a consumer portfolio (loans, credit cards, private label cards, etc.), with a focus on new business and existing customer management.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Strategy review experience using credit scores, bureau scores, segmentation analytics on consumer portfolios<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Experience in SAS, SQL or other programming language for statistical analysis and manipulation of very large data sets<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), ideally using pivot tables and macros<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Woolworths\u2019 Financial Services Employment Equity approach, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in the above position please forward your CV to:\u00a0<strong>recruitment02@wfs.co.za<\/strong> with the name of the position in the subject line<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you have not been contacted within two weeks after the closing date of this vacancy, please consider your application as being unsuccessful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To develop retail credit risk strategies for both new and existing customers, by using data analysis and predictive modelling techniques.
