Be part of the global team whose mission is already shared 100,000 employees: to make energy better each and every day.<br \/>\nTERMINAL SUPERVISOR \u2013 IVT<\/p>\n<p>Country<br \/>\nSouth Africa<\/p>\n<p>Workplace location<br \/>\nAFRIQUE DU SUD<\/p>\n<p>Functional discipline<br \/>\nSupply Transportation<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9tier<br \/>\nTerminal Operations<br \/>\nStock Management<br \/>\nTransport<\/p>\n<p>Employment type<br \/>\nRegular position<\/p>\n<p>Experience level required<br \/>\n3 &#8211; 6 years<\/p>\n<p>NP range<br \/>\nNP10+<\/p>\n<p>Branch<br \/>\nMarketing &amp; Services<\/p>\n<p>Job Description<\/p>\n<p>work activities<\/p>\n<p>Stock:<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Maintain levels at set targets to minimise working capital requirements and to meet customer demands.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Reconcile daily ensuring that sales transactions are processed and quality control is maintained.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Ensure stock gains\/losses are within accepted norms\/standards to minimise stock losses.<\/p>\n<p>Supervise the loading and distribution of product in the terminal to ensure:<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Fuel Controllers allocate and submit tankcar business and allocations to Transnet timorously and correctly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timeous loading and dispatching of tankcars together with Fuel Controllers.<\/li>\n<li>Transactions on Ssam, SAP and EDI with regards to road and rail gantry are transacted correctly and timeously.<\/li>\n<li>Product received into terminal via Natcos\/Sapref\/Engen and ship is of the correct quality, quantity and correct storage locations.<\/li>\n<li>P201\u2019s are generated timorously and correctly after receipt has been completed and submitted to SARS so as to avoid penalties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HSEQ and Security<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Supervise the HSEQ and security of the terminal to ensure constant adherence and compliance to the Company\u2019s standards, any local by-laws and government legislation. This to minimise all risk pertaining to the company\u2019s assets and stock, be an excellent corporate citizen, remain operational and ensure the safety of all people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise operational crises and problems pertaining to the terminal by activating contingency plans and advising all affected parties so as to avoid any\/minimal disruption of the operational activity in the terminal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>People<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Supervise all subordinates through continuous people management, staff development and coaching \/ mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that will attract and retain skilled manpower and increase productivity.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the practical training of Operations and Management trainees and employees from other depots through on-the-job training and rotation within the terminal that will result in meeting the objective of the training programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Supervise the loading and distribution of product in the terminal to ensure:<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 The right product, in the right time, at the right quantity against set service levels and transport KPI\u2019s to meet customer requirements and improve the efficiency and optimisation of the transport..<br \/>\nMaintenance<br \/>\n\u00d8 Supervise the terminal\u2019s maintenance programmes at minimum cost ensuring no loss of revenue due to downtime in the terminal\u2019s operation, the company\u2019s assets are protected and all risk is minimised.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Terminal Manager in compiling the annual maintenance budgets for the terminal to ensure accurate and sufficient allocation funds in this regard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HSEQ and Security<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8 Supervise the HSEQ and security of the terminal to ensure constant adherence and compliance to the Company\u2019s standards, any local by-laws and government legislation. ensuring activities are performed safely, efficiently and accurately recorded on SSAM and TL.<\/li>\n<li>To manage the Terminal\u2019s maintenance programmes ensuring no loss of revenue due to downtime, optimisation of assets lifespan and all risk is minimised, including prequalification auditing and operational monitoring of contractors.<\/li>\n<li>To manage the Terminal\u2019s stock, in conjunction with Supply, to ensure that stock levels are maintained at set targets to minimise working capital requirements and to meet customer \/ supply demands.<\/li>\n<li>Manage in-transit, operational and delivery stock losses within allowed tolerances and approved, as per limits of authority.<\/li>\n<li>To manage the Terminal\u2019s operating expenditure through regular budget monitoring to ensure a reduction in costs to improve the profitability of the Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HSEQ <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To manage the HSEQ and security of the Terminal ensuring safety, environmental and quality systems are maintained.<\/li>\n<li>To handle any operational crises and problems pertaining to the Terminal by activating contingency plans and advising all affected parties so as to avoid any\/minimal disruption of the operational activity in the Terminal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legal <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply to OHS-ACT 16.2 appointment ensuring a) Appoint 8.2i b) legal compliance to national, environmental and local laws c) appointment and monitoring of Health and Safety Committees (including: Safety Officer, Fire Team and First Aid)<\/li>\n<li>Optimise TSA\u2019s use of Terminal assets and ensure compliance to NERSA licence conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HR <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To manage the Terminal employees through continuous people \/ overtime management, staff development and coaching \/ mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that will attract and retain skills and increase productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure robust communication management within and between site and community (SRM+)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Governance: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HSEQ and Technical<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To manage and follow up on accidents<\/li>\n<li>To manage the setting up and technical development of the trucks,<\/li>\n<li>To ensure proper reception of the new trucks<\/li>\n<li>To ensure inspection of the trucks is carried out<\/li>\n<li>To ensure the proper training of the drivers<\/li>\n<li>To evaluate the management of transporters safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To effectively manage employees through applying the company People Management principles, and to develop, coach and mentor subordinates to promote a positive working environment which will attract and retain skilled staff and increase productivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Governance: <\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility<\/p>\n<p>Candidate profile<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context and environment <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical: strained storage capacity with no buffer stock along the supply chain Legal: historical practice of hospitality and product exchange agreements, with lack of controls among the industry players;
