{"id":30504,"date":"2016-08-05T16:22:24","date_gmt":"2016-08-05T14:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=30504"},"modified":"2016-08-05T16:22:24","modified_gmt":"2016-08-05T14:22:24","slug":"barmanbarlady-baxter-theatre-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/barmanbarlady-baxter-theatre-centre.html","title":{"rendered":"Barman\/Barlady for Baxter Theatre Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Baxter Theatre Centre seeks to appoint eight barmen\/bar ladies on an ad-hoc basis for appointment commencing 5 September 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates will assist in barman duties and provide excellent customer service to the Baxter\u2019s patrons.<\/p>\n<p><u>Requirements:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A matric certificate or an equivalent qualification.<\/li>\n<li>A friendly disposition coupled with sound interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and at least one other official language.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and independently.<\/li>\n<li>Alertness and the ability to think quickly in an emergency.<\/li>\n<li>A strong sense of customer service.<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Point of Sale experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A year\u2019s work experience preferably in either the hospitality or retail industry would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To deliver friendly, efficient customer service to patrons and staff at the Baxter Theatre Centre at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Controlling and accounting for stock.<\/li>\n<li>To serve beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, quickly and efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Processing orders and sales on the electronic point of sale system.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting, maintaining and cleaning the bar equipment and service areas.<\/li>\n<li>Adhering at all times to the Liquor Act of the Western Cape.<\/li>\n<li>Reconciling day-end sales and cash transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to the standard code of conduct of the Baxter Theatre Bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The rate of pay per hour is R33.59<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 21 August 2016<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uct.ac.za\/usr\/about\/intro\/vacancies\/researchpass\/2016\/BAX_60731_Bartenders.pdf\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to APPLICATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Baxter Theatre Centre seeks to appoint eight barmen\/bar ladies on an ad-hoc basis for appointment commencing 5 September 2016.
