The Auditor-General of South Africa (“AGSA”)<\/strong> is established in terms of section 181(1)(e) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996)(“the Constitution”) as a state institution supporting constitutional democracy. The Constitutional functions of the AGSA are set out in section 188 of the Constitution and section 4 of the Public Audit Act, 2004 (Act No. 25 of 2004)(“the PAA”).<\/p>\n Job Requirements\/Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n \u25a0Must be studying or intending to study towards a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (i.e. Bcom Accounting CA Stream, Bachelor of Accounting CA stream and Bcompt) at a University accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountant (SAICA). Job\u00a0Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n Grade 12 students:<\/strong><\/p>\n Must obtain matric exemption and university acceptance Must obtain over 60% pass in all subjects.
\n\u25a0Bursary holders are required to serve articles \/ training contract with the organisation on completion of their studies as per the bursary contract.<\/p>\n
\nMust obtain at least 60% for English
\nMust obtain at least 60% for Mathematics (not Maths literacy)
\nUniversity students :<\/p>\n
\nMust be proficient in English with strong communication skills.
\nMust have good interpersonal skills.
\nMust have drive, determination and commitment.
\nMust have strong leadership potential.<\/p>\n
