This 12 month programme will run from Monday, 7<sup>th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of the learnership the candidates will be eligible to apply for roles within the business as Installation Technicans.<\/p>\n<p>During the course of the programme, the individual will be appointed as a Technical Learner and complete practical work as well as formal instruction on the following unit standards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply cabling methods<\/li>\n<li>Use elementary electronics as applied to electronic systems<\/li>\n<li>Configure an installation<\/li>\n<li>Determine installation requirements<\/li>\n<li>Explain the use of installed systems<\/li>\n<li>Install electronic equipment<\/li>\n<li>Provide Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Assess threat for security installation purposes<\/li>\n<li>Determine and rectify faults in an installation<\/li>\n<li>Accommodate audience and context needs in oral\/signed communication<\/li>\n<li>Interpret and use information from texts<\/li>\n<li>Use language and communication in occupational learning programmes<\/li>\n<li>Write\/present\/sign texts for a range of communicative contexts<\/li>\n<li>Apply knowledge of statistics and probability to critically interrogate and effectively communicate findings on life related problems<\/li>\n<li>Engage in sustained oral\/signed communication and evaluate spoken\/signed texts<\/li>\n<li>Measure, estimate &amp; calculate physical quantities &amp; explore, critique &amp; prove geometrical relationships in 2 and 3 dimensional space in the life and workplace of adult with increasing responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Read\/view, analyse and respond to a variety of texts<\/li>\n<li>Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, national and international issues<\/li>\n<li>Use the writing process to compose texts required in the business environment<\/li>\n<li>Write\/present\/sign for a wide range of contexts<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate an understanding of intruder alarm systems<\/li>\n<li>Install a basic radio transmitter and antenna system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualification:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 or N3\n<ul>\n<li>Mathematics and Science at Matric level ESSENTIAL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s license ESSENTIAL as travel in the role is required<\/li>\n<li>Interest in\u00a0 a technical qualification and career<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Behavioural Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Customer-centric<\/li>\n<li>Diligent<\/li>\n<li>Handle pressure well<\/li>\n<li>Team player with the ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Punctual<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pay attention to detail and Standard Operating Procedures<\/li>\n<li>Thorough execution on projects and tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"apply\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pnet.co.za\/jobs--Technical-Learnership-Cape-Town-N1-City-Goodwood-Cape-Town-ADT-Security-Pty-Ltd-Group--2364712-inline.html\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Online for the ADT: Learnership Programme 2017<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Cape Town Overall Purpose: ADT South Africa is offering an opportunity to join a Technical Learnership to 80 unemployed Matric and N3 graduates.
