This is a one year contract opportunity and the interns will report to the Senior Case <span id=\"IL_AD9\" class=\"IL_AD\">Analyst<\/span>. A competitive and market related salary \u00a0will be offered to successful candidates (Ref: NCT16\/LI001).<\/div>\n<div>NCT is an independent adjudicative body with jurisdiction throughout the Republic. Its purpose is to adjudicate on credit and consumer related matters provided for in the National Credit <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">Act<\/span> (NCA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), and to rule on<span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">alleged<\/span> contraventions of these <span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">Acts<\/span>.<br \/>\nThe Tribunal hears and decides on <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">applications<\/span> and referrals involving consumers, credit providers, debt counsellors and credit bureaus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interns will be exposed to procedural aspects of handling cases and ensuring that the cases are processed expeditiously as possible and brought to a point of finalisation, which will entail:<\/li>\n<li>Conducting an assessment of a cases<\/li>\n<li>Handling the logistics for the set down of cases; and Ensuring that there is compliance with the rules of procedures for matters before the Tribunal<\/li>\n<li>Interns will be involved in the collating of performance information and management of statistics and any other tasks that may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Interns will be exposed to the substantive and procedural aspects of a case, which will entail analysing of cases and conducting research on cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">Requirements<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Final year or Post-graduate law students,<\/li>\n<li>No job experience required<\/li>\n<li>Excellent <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">academic<\/span> track record<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail &amp; high level of <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">accuracy<\/span> to be applied at work<\/li>\n<li>Commitment and dedication<\/li>\n<li>Hard worker, outputs driven and honest.<\/li>\n<li>The Tribunal reserves the right not to fill any of the positions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Closing date is 30 September 2016.
