This position will be based at the James Sedgwick Distillery in <strong>Wellington <\/strong>and will<strong> report to the <\/strong><strong>Process Manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Position<\/strong><br \/>\nThe intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their last year of study and require exposure in a work environment or have a prerequisite to have practical work experience before <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">qualification<\/span>. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract commencing 01 February 2017 and terminating on 31 January 2018.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Key Learning Areas <\/strong><strong>include (but are not limited to):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plant Maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Plant Operation<\/li>\n<li>Lab <span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Effluent treatment<\/li>\n<li>Utilities and Facilities<\/li>\n<li>General <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">administrative<\/span> <span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">assistance<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following <span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">criteria<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">academic<\/span> record and in final year of obtaining tertiary qualification \u2013 \u00a0Chemical Engineering \u00a0diploma<\/li>\n<li>Candidates in need of In Service or practical workplace experience.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy \u2013 Word, Excel, PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Sound communication and presentation skills;<\/li>\n<li>Effective time management;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s License would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>South <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">African<\/span> citizen;<\/li>\n<li>Reliable means of transport<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work overtime during week\/weekends<\/li>\n<li>Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prospective interns must submit the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Covering letter\/ Motivational letter,<\/li>\n<li>A curriculum vitae,<\/li>\n<li>Certified academic record,<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of Grade 12,<\/li>\n<li>A letter from the tertiary institution,<\/li>\n<li>A format for evaluation, required by the tertiary institution ,<\/li>\n<li>Certified copies of Identity Document<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/career012.successfactors.eu\/career?company=C0001101178P&amp;career_ns=job_listing&amp;navBarLevel=JOB_SEARCH&amp;career_job_req_id=2081\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 30 September 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Distell offers exciting opportunities to suitable candidates for potential placement in our Mashing and Distillation departments.
