Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, a provider of corporate and specialty insurance services, is offering an Assistant Underwriter Internship in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

The internship programme combines on-the-job development and opportunities with mentoring and training in order to help entry-level learners and interns to enhance their skills and broaden their understanding of the insurance business.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the internship<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepare learners \/ interns for a career within Insurance (and possibly AGCS) through work based experience and vocational training
\n\u2022 To contribute<\/span> towards skills development of South Africa\u2019s youth<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Underwriting Support & Policy Documentation and Administration
\n\u2022 Provide proactive support to ensure Underwriting compliance
\n\u2022 Accounts Reconciliations
\n\u2022 Proactively develop relationships with internal functional areas<\/span> involved in Underwriting process
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with brokers at peer level<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Tertiary Qualification<\/span> \u2013 Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce with Law is a compulsory requirement<\/span>
\n\u2022 Good verbal and written communication
\n\u2022 Computer literate<\/span> with Microsoft Office
\n\u2022 Eager and willing to learn<\/p>\n

Due to local statutory requirements<\/span> suitably qualified BEE candidates will be given preference, though all suitable candidates will be considered.<\/p>\n
