An opportunity has become available for an energetic trainee Visual Merchandiser to join the Markham Marketing Department.<\/p>\n
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for:
\n\u2022\tFormulating visual merchandising solutions across three sports brands (Totalsports; Duesouth & sportscene).
\n\u2022\tSupport the implementation of campaigns; promotions in windows and instore.
\n\u2022\tLiasing with the Brand Managers and marketing co-ordinators in obtaining relevant information to complete clear and detailed communication of promotions and campaigns.
\n\u2022\tLiasing with Graphic designers to ensure timelines are met in regards to delivery of projects and manuals.
\n\u2022\tCo-ordination of elements and components required for promotions, campaigns, store openings etc.
\n\u2022\tEffective communication and liaising with staff at head office and store level.
\n\u2022\tWindow dressing, in-store housing and assembling of marketing materials.
\nPerson requirements\t To apply for this position you need:
\n\u2022\tTo have a Business \/ Fashion \/ Marketing related degree or diploma
\n\u2022\tTo have displayed a strong entrepreneurial style, i.e. display strong trader mentality
\n\u2022\tThe ability to spot trends and execute accordingly
\n\u2022\tA keen\/strong interest in retail
\n\u2022\tAn eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills
\n\u2022\tTo be able to work your way through a highly structured development process whilst on training
\n\u2022\tAble to work independently as well as within a team
\n\u2022\tExcellent interpersonal skills
\n\u2022\tExceptional verbal and written communication
\n\u2022\tTo confidently influence and persuade at all levels
\n\u2022\tTo be able to make decisions and meet deadlines whilst working in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
\n\u2022\tResilience and emotional maturity
\n\u2022\tA good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
\n\u2022\tMAC, Photoshop and Indesign competence would be advantageous
\n\u2022\tTo be self-motivated, and take responsibility for your own development<\/p>\n
