\"\"<\/a>The main responsibility of the Applications Sales consultant (Pre-Sales Consultant) is to secure Oracle product selection. They assist the Applications Sales Representatives drive the adoption of Oracle application solutions within the various industry verticals across South Africa.<\/p>\n

Overview:\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u2022 To demonstrate the credibility of Oracle’s Applications products and solutions
\n\u2022 To respond to demand from Applications Account Management for expertise in creating detailed technical and product solutions for specified needs.
\n\u2022 To work as part of Account Teams on specific opportunities to enhance revenue for Oracle Corporation through Applications license sales.<\/p>\n

SCOPE:\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Product and Solutions focused (Applications), with a depth of knowledge in designated product areas and knowledge of Oracle’s product portfolio
\n\u2022 Contributes to the achievement of a product\/business unit target
\n\u2022 Has a good understanding of the Manufacturing, Retails & Distribution industry an advantage.
\n\u2022 Previous ERP implementation background an advantage.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u2022 Demonstrates the credibility of Oracle’s products and solutions
\n\u2022 Present and demo the Oracle Applications solution to customers<\/p>\n

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
\n\u2022 Attend customer meetings with Sales to understand customer needs
\n\u2022 Bring customers up to date with Oracle’s product offering and Value Propositions
\n\u2022 Design and deliver customer demonstrations to articulate, update and evangelise Oracle based technical and product solutions
\n\u2022 Contribute technical and product information in response to Invitations To Tender (ITT), Requests For Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
\n\u2022 Run seminars and workshops for Partner organisations as required
\n\u2022 Create, present and deliver meetings\/presentations\/seminars and events as required
\n\u2022 Engage with Product teams to maintain product knowledge. Represent Oracle at marketing events as required
\n\u2022 Act as a technical\/solution contact for customers in the designated area
\n\u2022 Recognise and communicate opportunities to up-sell based on solutions insight
\n\u2022 Update Pre-sales team (etc) in product and technical knowledge
\n\u2022 Understand the local competitive landscape from product area point of view
\n\u2022 Actively develop product expertise – attend adequate technical training, read White Papers, research using the Internet<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n

Education \/ Qualifications
\n\u2022 Degree in BComm or Engineering equivalent
\nExperience \/ Technical \/ Professional knowledge
\n\u2022 Experience in ERP\/CRM\/SCM\/Procurement
\n\u2022 Solution Architect experience preferable
\n\u2022 5 or more years experience in an IT role
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Oracle ERP Applications (E-Business Suite)
\n\u2022 Experience of large integrated systems advantageous
\n\u2022 Experience in Implementing ERP solutions advantageous
\n\u2022 Previous experience in a support or customer facing role
\n\u2022 Excellent verbal\/written communication skills
\n\u2022 Ability to work in a pressurised environment<\/p>\n
