The applicant is required to perform the below listed duties and should possess competencies in these areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist employee\u2019s with payroll and HR queries
\n\u2022 Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees
\n\u2022 Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
\n\u2022 Collect and capture timekeeping information
\n\u2022 Calculate hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
\n\u2022 Capture leave on the payroll and T&A systems
\n\u2022 Ensure that staff files are complete
\n\u2022 Loading new staff details onto the system
\n\u2022 Calculating wages and payment of same
\n\u2022 Calculate commissions
\n\u2022 Calculate and submit payroll taxes, benefits schemes and other deductions
\n\u2022 Assist with balancing of the IRP5\u2019s.
\n\u2022 Process employee advances and paybacks
\n\u2022 Process and close periodic payrolls
\n\u2022 Print and issue payslips
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to Manager
\n\u2022 Assist HR Managers with adhoc duties as and when required
\n\u2022 Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential<\/p>\n

Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The suited applicant is expected to meet the below listed requirements
\n\u2022 Proven experience as payroll and wage clerk in a manufacturing environment
\n\u2022 Familiarity with general accounting principles
\n\u2022 Matric essential
\n\u2022 Payroll qualification an advantage
\n\u2022 Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant payroll software
\n\u2022 Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
\n\u2022 Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
\n\u2022 Must be organized, professional and motivated, capable of working well alone or as a member of a team<\/p>\n
