{"id":34780,"date":"2016-12-19T09:09:03","date_gmt":"2016-12-19T07:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=34780"},"modified":"2016-12-19T11:06:13","modified_gmt":"2016-12-19T09:06:13","slug":"nelson-mandela-bay-municipality-graduate-opportunity-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/nelson-mandela-bay-municipality-graduate-opportunity-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Graduate Opportunity 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is looking for young unemployed graduates to work as fieldworkers and data capturers.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><em>Applicants should be:<\/em><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Between 18-35 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Reside within the Municipality;<\/li>\n<li>Able to converse in the local languages spoken in the Municipality (i.e English; Xhosa; Afrikaans) and preferably the Ward that they reside in<\/li>\n<li>Be in possession of a B-degree\/ National Diploma.<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to applicants with studies and experience in research, fieldwork and data capturing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake fieldwork which will involve interviewing residents personally at their household.<\/li>\n<li>Chart plans to visit residents of a <span id=\"IL_AD10\" class=\"IL_AD\">specified<\/span> ward.<\/li>\n<li>Explain the objectives of the survey and the procedure to persons who are to be interviewed.<\/li>\n<li>Interpret the questionnaire to assist the respondents understand the questions.<\/li>\n<li>Double-check information on questionnaire and ensure accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and report any issues that may arise while attempting to obtain valid data.<\/li>\n<li>Report to immediate supervisor on completed assignments, and progress daily.<\/li>\n<li>Achieve daily targets and complete tasks within specified timeframes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Competencies and Skills:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good listening and problem solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Critical analysis skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good time management, planning and organising abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Self-management. \u00a0Flexibility \u2013 to work unspecified hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Payment: Stipend linked to performance<\/div>\n<div>Closing date for <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">applications<\/span> is 6 January 2017<\/div>\n<div><span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">Application forms<\/span> can be collected from the Corporate Services: Skills Development &amp;<span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">Employment<\/span> Equity Unit, 15thFloor Starport Building \/ 140 Govan Mbeki Avenue, OR\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nelsonmandelabay.gov.za\/DataRepository\/Documents\/unemployed-graduate-registration-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">downloaded here<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>OR collected at NMBM <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">Customer Care<\/span> Centres. \u00a0The <span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">application form<\/span>must be accompanied by the following documents:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified copy of your valid South African identification document (ID)<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of your highest qualification obtained i.e. Diploma \/ Degree and latest Academic Record (subjects passed and <span id=\"IL_AD9\" class=\"IL_AD\">marks<\/span> received)<\/li>\n<li><span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">Curriculum Vitae<\/span> \/ <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">Resume<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Submit the Application Form along with the required documents to Corporate Services: Skills Development &amp; Employment Equity, 15th Floor Starport Building \/ 140 Govan Mbeki) OR nearest NMBM Customer Care Centre in <span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">Application<\/span> Box.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is looking for young unemployed graduates to work as fieldworkers and data capturers.
