Premier’s Advancement of Youth (PAY) programme will provide 750 matriculants from the class of 2016 with work and training from 1 April 2017 until 31 March 2018.<\/p>\n
The Premier\u2019s Advancement of Youth (PAY) project will provide matriculants from the class of 2016 with work experience and training in one of the 13 Western Cape Government Departments beginning 1 April 2017 until 31 March 2018.<\/p>\n
During this time you will receive a monthly stipend to cover your expenses.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 You have written the National Senior Certificate (NSC) in 2016, and only applicants who passed the final examinations will be considered;<\/p>\n \u2022 You are not going to study further in 2017;<\/p>\n \u2022 You are a South African citizen, residing in the Western Cape Province;<\/p>\n \u2022 You are between the ages of 18 and 24;<\/p>\n \u2022 You are not sure of the next step after school.<\/p>\n Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 You have no network or support to help you make career choices;<\/p>\n \u2022 You are financially constrained.<\/p>\n Key Performance Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n On-the-job training will be provided in the following departments:<\/u><\/p>\n \u2022 Department of the Premier;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Agriculture;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Community Safety;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Economic Development and Tourism;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Health;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Human Settlements;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Local Government;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Social Development;<\/p>\n \u2022 Department of Transport and Public Works;<\/p>\n \u2022 Provincial Treasury;<\/p>\n \u2022 Western Cape Education Department (WCED).<\/p>\n HOW TO APPLY<\/strong> Only attach your CV (preferably in MS Word).<\/p>\n Other documentation like your ID can also be attached with your CV.<\/p>\n Only applicants who passed the final examinations will be considered.<\/p>\n The final results will be verified with the Western Cape Education Department.<\/p>\n Also, other personal information and documentation will be verified in terms of legislation.<\/p>\n Application tips:<\/p>\n 1.
