Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Be responsible for underwriting decisions, under the supervision of a mentor.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Give advice to specific requirements and impairments<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Accurately capture underwriting information into the product administration system.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Provide written communication to clients and distribution channels<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Keep abreast of developments and trends in areas of training and expertise.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Always maintaining the highest standard in customer care.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Develop critical underwriting skills, through classroom, independent, and on-the-job training, including analysis of exposures to risk, determination of appropriate insurance coverage and conditions.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Gather and review information on financial matters, risk exposures, and economic trends that may affect the risk assessment.<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Establish, support, and maintain effective relationships with customers, agents and brokers<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Well-developed written & verbal communication skills in German or Spanish and English<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Matric OR Equivalent with Biology, Mathematics or Accounting essential<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Completed Medical \/ Medically aligned degree or three (3) year related diploma is an advantage<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Alternatively a completed undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, etc<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0Understanding of anatomy & physiology at Grade 12 level is a must (minimum school biology curriculum<\/p>\n
\u00a7\u00a0\u00a0PC proficiency in Ms Office i.e. Word, Excel etc<\/p>\n
