Successful candidates will undergo full time training for two-years, during which, they will receive military and further functional training.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The SA Air Force intends to capacitate the candidates to be highly skilled and disciplined military professionals and patriotic citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The South African Air Force is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. The <span id=\"IL_AD9\" class=\"IL_AD\">candidature<\/span> of persons, whose appointment will promote representivity, will receive preference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidates will be trained in the following areas:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Pilot<\/li>\n<li>Navigator<\/li>\n<li>Airspace Controller<\/li>\n<li>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Requirement<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<ul>\n<li>Members with Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) not older than 26 years of age with no Maths and Science required.<\/li>\n<li>26 Years if in possession of a degree with Level \u2013 4 Maths and Science<\/li>\n<li>18\u201324 Years \u2013 Completed Grade 12 or or Equivalent (<span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">University<\/span> Entrance) Mathematics and Physical Science minimum Level \u2013 4 (Essential);<\/li>\n<li>English Level-4 (Essential)<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics and Physical Science (N4 to N5 minimum-60%; N6 or 1st year University of Technology or University minimum\u201350%)<\/li>\n<li>RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship)<\/li>\n<li>Unmarried<\/li>\n<li>Not Area Bound<\/li>\n<li>No Criminal Record<\/li>\n<li>Physically Fit<\/li>\n<li>Medically Fit<\/li>\n<li>No Hearing Impairment (No hearing aid)<\/li>\n<li>Have 6\/6-eye vision (No contact lenses or corrective lenses or surgery)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pilots and Navigators are to comply with the following cockpit measurments<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Height \u20131600mm, Maximum Height \u20131900mm<\/li>\n<li>Minimum Weight \u2013 53kg; Maximum \u2013 102kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Engineers Requriements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>18\u201324 Years \u2013 Completed Grade 12 or NSC or Equivalent (University Entrance)<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics and Physical Science minimum Level-6 (Essential)<\/li>\n<li>English Level-5 (Essential)<\/li>\n<li>University <span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">Admission<\/span> Point Score (APS) of 35<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">How to apply<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">Applications<\/span> close on 29 February 2017. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dod.mil.za\/MSDS\/Pilots%20Nav%202017-18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a> to <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">download<\/span> the 2018 SAAF <span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">application form<\/span>.
