{"id":35171,"date":"2017-02-06T11:04:30","date_gmt":"2017-02-06T09:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=35171"},"modified":"2017-02-06T11:04:30","modified_gmt":"2017-02-06T09:04:30","slug":"robben-island-ict-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/robben-island-ict-internship.html","title":{"rendered":"Robben Island ICT Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ICT Internships mentioned position is available in the Finance Department at Robben Island Museum and is a 12 Months Contract.<\/p>\n<p>Objective of this internship is to provide work experience exposure in ICT for the qualified graduate in Information Technology or Computer Systems.<\/p>\n<p><u>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computer, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines;<\/li>\n<li>Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software;<\/li>\n<li>Assist ICT RIM helpdesk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from users;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, and administrative systems;<\/li>\n<li>Assist user with printing support and telephones incidents;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the incident management at the ICT Helpdesk;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining LAN\/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone systems cable;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in management of RIM ICT assets and administration;<u>Experience and Technical skills:<\/u>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma\/ degree in Information Technology or Computer Systems\/ Science;<\/li>\n<li>Grade 12 or Matric;<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Analytical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Oral communication;<\/li>\n<li>Sound judgement;<\/li>\n<li>Team player;<\/li>\n<li>Time management;<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RIM is an EE, AA, employer, RIM reserves the right not to make an appointment if suitable candidate are not found.<\/p>\n<p>Forward a detailed cv, accompanied by certified copies your ID and qualification certificates as well as contactable referees, to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@robben-island.org.za\">recruitment@robben-island.org.za<\/a> by no later than 08 February 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Note : If you do not hear from us within 30 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robben-island.org.za\/files\/jobs\/ict_intership.pdf\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to VIEW FULL INTERNSHIP ADVERT<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ICT Internships mentioned position is available in the Finance Department at Robben Island Museum and is a 12 Months Contract.
