Trainees are given a 24 \u2013 36 month contract and receive a monthly stipend. At the end of the contract, trainees who meet SARS\u2019s recruitment requirements and apply for an available vacancy may be placed in a permanent position.<\/p>\n<p>The Graduate Programme is aimed at final year students at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with various qualifications as well as unemployed graduates who wish to pursue a career in SARS. The qualification required will be specified in each job advertisement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Experience Programme<\/strong><br \/>\nInternships are work-based training programmes that offer trainees work experience.<br \/>\nInterns are placed on a 24 month contract and receive a monthly stipend.<br \/>\nSARS\u2019s internships are aimed at matriculants and final year students at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges.<br \/>\n<strong>CA Programme<\/strong><br \/>\nThe SARS CA Training Programme is a SAICA accredited training programme developed to give specialised training to increase the pool of professionals and to allow them to qualify as Chartered Accountants CA(SA).To enhance learning and development it ensures that trainees are given exposure to a business environment providing them with the skills exposure and knowledge to become competent professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The programme equips its trainees with the necessary skills by ensuring<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access to on-going professional development,<\/li>\n<li>interaction with executives and senior managers,<\/li>\n<li>access to\u00a0 subject matter experts and mentors to assist in their personal development,<\/li>\n<li>rotation within the various business units at SARS to gain exposure to a wide range of tax subjects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SARS offers trainees the added advantage of cutting edge exposure to Taxation. It ensures that the trainees\u2019 experience will help broaden their skills acquisition and business acumen to successfully complete their training programme and obtain the prestigious CA (SA) qualification.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum entry requirements for trainees are a B.Com Hons (Accounting) and a Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA)\/ Graduate Diploma in Accounting (GDA) or equivalent post graduate qualification.
